Featured Project

📟 yaPDP — Web-Based PDP-11/70 Emulator

A low-level, interactive DEC machine emulator that runs directly in the browser without any servers or plugins. It fully recreates the authentic 1970s mainframe computer room atmosphere.

  • Architectural Core: Developed a cycle-accurate 16-bit CPU instruction decoder using pure JavaScript. Implemented trap/interrupt logic and Memory-Mapped I/O (MMIO).
  • Peripherals: Emulated VT52/VT100 terminals (complete with CRT tube simulation), Model 33 ASR Teletype, and an LP11 line printer with realistic sound effects.
  • OS Magic: Wrote prompt-aware automation scripts for instant booting of guest operating systems, including Unix V5, BSD 2.11, ULTRIX-11, RT-11, and more.
  • Desktop App: Packaged for Windows and Linux using the Tauri v2 framework (resulting in an ultra-compact ~19 MB build).
  • License: MIT (Open Source).
