This project is now a public archive.
This is a cross-platform virtual reality extension for Turbowarp.
Things it supports:
- ✅ Easy setup - stage casting & automatic VR initialization
- ⚡️ Adaptive 90Hz Refresh Rate
- ✅ Cross-platform compatibility between Oculus devices, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, and more
- ⚡️ Optimized for very little performance overhead (90+ FPS)
- ✅ All the blocks you need to create your VR experiences
- .... and more!
If you encounter any issues, please use the issues page. You can get help, show off your code, ask a question, suggest a new feature, and more on the discussions page.
More resources (demo projects, documentation, sample code, etc.) coming soon.

I'm closing this project as a public archive for the following reasons:
- It's become clear that I don't have time to continue developing new TurboWarp extensions since I'm moving on to larger-scale projects.
- The code is outdated and needs a rewrite that I don't have time for
- The extension lacks necessary performance to be production-ready
- The stereoscopic rendering is "faked" and may contribute to, at the very least, an unimmersive experience, or, at the worst, motion sickness.
- The prospective audience for this extension is very small and makes up only a minority of TurboWarp users. Additionally, when you get to the scale of VR, it makes sense to move beyond TW to something more serious like standalone Three.JS or Godot.
- I've determined that VR in TurboWarp is still a good idea, but is better incorporated as an addon to a three.js extension where real stereoscopy is supported and the implementation is more seamless. A standalone VR extension won't work very well.
